S2000 Sighting

I met a guy tonight in the Best Buy parking lot driving a red S2000. Since you could literally count all the S2000's in Longview on one hand, it is kind of unique to get the chance to park next to another one. So here's Stewie on the right next to the red one.

As fate may have it, driving home, we were passed by a yellow one and saw another silver one parked at an apartment complex. Looks like all of us were out for the day.

Well, this was fun...

Lately, I've been trying to collect some of the magazines featuring the S2000 through the years. Here are a couple good ones:

Fisheye Fun Weekend

So I rigged up a tripod into my car this morning by running two of the legs down behind the two seats, and then made the third leg as short as possible and it hits at just the right length to be held in place by the lip of the lowered convertible top. Like this:

So then, I set the camera up to automatically take a photo every 10 seconds and I started to drive. I set the aperature to F22 and the ISO as low as I could get it...so my exposures were 1/30-1/60th of a second in bright sunlight. That gave me enough shutter drag to get some good blurring outside of the car cockpit while maintaining sharp focus on those things that are moving in the same plane as the camera (i.e. Me and the car). The result is LOTS of fun...

Through a Fisheye Lens

I got a new Nikon 10.5mm fisheye lens at work and brought it home for the night to snap some pics of my car interior.

I couldn't take the lens back to work without getting at least one or two shots of the exterior of the car too.
